India Fishing and Angling Tours

India has enough bodies of water to go fishing thanks to its peninsular plateau on one side and the various rivers that run through its many states. In fact, one of the most significant industries is fishing, particularly in areas close to India's coasts. While fishing is frequently done for commercial gain, many individuals also engage in fishing as a pleasure. In our lovely land, there are many lakes, ponds, and rivers where you can fish for different species, including mahseer, trout, etc. Remember that the Divisional Forest Officer  (DFO) must give you permission before you can fish before you grab your equipment and come down here. Don't give up though. They can set it up for you if you are staying at one of the local hotels or resorts. Angling experts believe fishing along the Ramganga is an experience beyond words. We can't guarantee it, so maybe you should go find out for yourself. Fishing is a recreational activity that is gaining popularity in India and is not just something that fishermen do every morning. • Jim Corbett National Park: A magnificent place for fishing is found along the clean Ramganga river, which winds through the Corbett National Park's rocky, mountainous terrain. Fish like Mahseer, Goonch, and Brown Trout, to name a few, can be found there.
  • Pancheshwar: Pancheshwar, a small village in Uttarakhand's Champawat district, is found at the junction of the Sharda and Kali rivers close to Lohaghat, at the foothills of the India-Nepal border. The powerful mahseers of the Himalayas reside in the waters of Pancheshwar as well. The secluded community, which also serves as the site of the annual International Angling Competition in March, is a heaven for anglers.
  • Pabbar Valley: Fishing enthusiasts go to the Pabbar River to look for the coveted Golden Mahseer. This area, which is 80 km northeast of Shimla, is crossed by numerous rivers (and tributaries) that flow from Punjab and are home to a vast number of fish species, including Brown Trout, Catfish, Rohu, and Catla.
  • Munnar: Mahseer fish, in particular, can be caught in the scenic hill town of Munnar's Elephant Lake and adjacent streams. The months of October to March are ideal for fishing at Munnar and throughout Kerala. In addition to mahseer, you might also encounter pearl spot, pink mahseer, sardine, mackerel, etc.
